Alyssa + Mario | Starbucks Engagement Session

Starbucks Engagement Session

Starbucks has a special place in Alyssa + Mario’s hearts. They went on dates to Starbucks and headed to a Starbucks after getting engaged as well. It was only fitting that we started off their Starbucks Engagement Session in a Starbucks of course. It was pretty quiet while we were there. You could hear the swirling of milk, the smell of coffee and these two chatting together. I absolutely adore the way these two look at each other and make one another smile. It’s such a natural thing to them and it brings a smile to my face watching them.

After Starbucks we headed off to a park nearby. Alyssa brought her stunning bike along for the engagement session. Mario had given it to Alyssa on her birthday… It was actually their first time to celebrate her birthday together and i’m sure many many more to celebrate in the future. They had also picked up some gorgeous flowers for their engagement session. I absolutely love that they brought the bike and flowers to incorporate into their session. It really adds to the session when you bring a couple meaningful things with you.

As the sun was slowly going down for the night, we decided last minute to rush off to Laurier Park to get a couple photos by the river. We got swarmed by bugs walking to the entrance and when we walked back. It was definitely worth it to get those photos by the river. I seriously had a blast hanging out with the two of them that night. I am beyond excited to be capturing their journey to becoming Mr. & Mrs!

Chantal + Mike | Fort Edmonton Park Wedding

FORT EDMONTON PARK WEDDING

Where to even start with this beautiful Fort Edmonton Park Wedding! I met Chantal at the Hotel Selkirk inside Fort Edmonton. She was all smiles as she was getting the finishing touches done to her hair. She was so excited to finish up and head down to the church to marry her best friend. Chantal and Mike had an intimate ceremony at St.Michaels Church. They shared a ton of laughter, tears and joy in this beautiful wooden church. Their officiant made sure the couple shared a few laughs during the ceremony and had everyone inside the church laughing. They whisked off after the ceremony into a horse drawn carriage to take a ride as husband and wife around the park. Their family and friends followed behind in another larger horse carriage to view the park along with them.

This year has been awful with all the rain we have gotten. I wasn’t surprised when we saw some dark rain clouds rolling in while taking photos. It only lasted a few minutes and then the sun came out shinning for them. Worked out amazing! These two are so amazing to work with. They are so sweet together and are constantly smiling and laughing. It is so sweet the way Mike glances over at Chantal! The reception was held in the cozy Clerks Quarters. Almost everyone was outside of Clerks Quarters visiting and having fun when they could. Chantal and Mike had a 1 cent photo booth to go along with their theme of their wedding. That was where everyone was gathered as I left for the evening. Now onto some of the photos from their beautiful wedding day!

Christina + Don | Forest Heights Park Maternity Session

As I was driving in to meet Christina and Don for their maternity session there was some dark rain clouds rolling in. I crossed my fingers and had hope that it would hold off for the hour for us. We felt a few drops at the beginning but it definitely held off until our last couple of photos. It started coming down while we were on the bridge. By the time all three of us got back to our cars we were soaked from head to toe.

Nether the less we got some great shots from Christina and Don’s maternity session. I am beyond excited these two are expecting a little boy next month. I have known Christina since elementary school and it’s so great to see these two together. I can’t wait to meet your little one when he arrives. Now onto some gorgeous photos from this Forest Heights Park Maternity Session!

Ashley + Dave | St.Albert Wedding Photographer

St.Albert Wedding Photographer

As you scroll through these photos you might recognize me in the bridal party. Yup I am in the bridal party and that’s not someone who looks like me lol. Ashley is one of the oldest friends I have. We met while I was in grade 2 and I had been going door to door selling chocolates for my school. I met Ashley for the first time on her driveway and then many many other times while at the hockey rink. Our brothers had been playing hockey on the same team. Ashley and Dave had first met at a local bar in St.Albert. I knew this was it by the way she would light up when talking about or smiling at Dave!

Ashley and Dave couldn’t wait to be married any longer and set a date for this summer. It was a shorter timeline but everything came together beautifully. I was so excited to be a bridesmaid and to capture their day as it unfolded as a photographer as well. We had to hustle a little during the bridal party photos because we had a dark storm cloud coming up. We definitely dodged the rain that day! I would set up the shot for the entire bridal party and then run back into the photo. Ashley’s amazing sister was there to help me on the camera end and pressing the shutter when it was time. We really could not have pulled this off without her.

I am especially excited to share these images on my blog today. It really was an amazing day, especially when you add in all of the incredible people to be around and there was a ton of desserts! Which Me and another couple of bridesmaids tried all of. (Don’t worry we split them lol) Ash, you made a beautiful bride and Dave made the most perfect groom for you!  I am beyond lucky to have been with you on the most magical day!

D’Aoust Family | Edmonton Family Photos

I was so excited to do the D’Aoust family photos. I have been friends with Tenille since Junior High.We did fall family photos last year and then they wanted to do summer photos this year. Maybe winter next? Griffin is adorable. He didn’t want to look at me at all at the beginning but we had a few tricks. I think we got him smiling a few times. Here are a few photos from our session. Which includes a red ballon and bubbles! Scroll down to see.
