Kellie+ Mike | Alberta Legislature Building Engagement Photos

Back in January I had a booth at Bridal Fantasy and got to meet so many people! I was thrilled when Kellie and Mike had contacted me after the show to tell me they had won an engagement session with me. Kellie and Mike had first met at a bar downtown Edmonton a few years ago. Kellie told me that Mike had asked her to dance and even though the dance floor was completely empty, she agreed. The rest is history now!

Since they had met downtown Edmonton, we decided to go to the Alberta Legislature Building for their engagement photos. The two of them are such naturals in front of the camera and laughed their way through the session. They brought a few props to their session and I loved that. It can bring more meaning to the photos with the props. My favourite was definitely the Starbucks cups they brought. Their first date was at a Starbucks and they wrote on the cups “Mr. and Future Mrs.”.

It was an honour taking your engagement photos and I wish you both all the best as you two tie the knot next year!

Sedona | Leduc Newborn Session

Meet Miss Sedona! She was born on May 3rd at 8:04am and is the 3rd little girl of the family. There are so many similarities between all three sisters I noticed when doing Sedona’s newborn session. I absolutely loved meeting Sedona and see her family again. Her two big sisters, Araya and Cali seemed very excited to have another sister. They helped pick out Sedona’s wraps for her session and just wanted to watch for most of the time. She is absolutely precious and congrats to the entire family on their newest addition!

Now for a few of my favourites from Sedona’s newborn session!

Madison | Edmonton Newborn Session

Madison was born a few weeks earlier then expected. She was born on April 15 and was only 3 pounds. She was heathy when born but had to spend sometime in the hospital to grow a little bigger. I was pretty excited to meet her and get to hear her little dinosaur sounds. The sweetest sounds and he mom mentioned they are called premie noises. When Madison came into the studio for her session she was technically only 37 weeks old at that point. She was tiny but strong as any other baby I have ever met.

It was such an honour to get to meet her and here are a few photos from her session!

Kristen + Mike | Lois Hole Provincial Park Maternity Session

I shot Kristen and Mike’s wedding a year and a half ago and now their expecting! I was so excited to hear that they are having a little boy. We started their maternity session at Grandin Park Pond. Which is a smaller park but has some amazing spots near the pond. They brought their adorable pup Hanna to be in the photos and she had a cute blue scarf on that said “big sister”. Kristen had made the scarf for the session and Hanna wore it very proudly.

We headed down to Lois Hole Provincial Park after to get a few more photos. I always like being able to do two locations because it does give a variety of photos for the session. The two parks are only 2 minutes away from one another as well. Congrats again to Kristen, Mike and of course Hanna!

Myah | Spruce Grove Firefighter Newborn Photos

Meet Myah! Steve and Shannon wanted to do a few photos at the firehall to document Myah finally being here. We started off at their home and did a few photos of just Myah. She was so sweet and slept the entire time I was there. She didn’t seem to care even when we put her in the cute firefighter outfit as well. After we did her solo photos, we headed to the firehall that Steve works at. We did some family photos there with the fire trucks and up against the firehall. Everything went great and I was so happy to meet Myah for the first time!
